What is the Vertical Express for Multiple Sclerosis?
A series of on-snow events at resorts across North America to raise funds for people and families living with multiple sclerosis (MS). For skiers, boarders and telemarkers of all ages and abilities. Learn how to participate…
Participants receive a free lift pass, goody bag and food. Additional prizes are based on dollars raised by participants. Raise $15,000 and win a trip to April Awards in Vail, CO.
Proceeds support The Heuga Center for Multiple Sclerosis, a nonprofit world leader in serving people and families living with MS through interactive health and wellness programs that strengthen and empower them to improve their quality of life.

How do I register online?
To register online: 
- You will be linked to the verticalexpress.org home page.
- Click on your event location from the Vertical Express home page.
- Read the event-specific information.
- Click on Register Team at the bottom of the page.
- Create a User Name and Password.
- Follow the steps to register your team of 3 all at once.
- Create a fundraising web page to request contributions and track your team's progress.

How much do I need to raise?
Each team of 3 raises a minimum of $1000 or $333 each (plus a few pennies) to enter the event. Remember - the more you raise, the better the prizes! In order to win an expense paid trip to Vail, CO for the April Awards, your team must raise at least $15,000.

How many people on a team?
Three, 3, III, tres, trois! Any combo of age, ability, and sex.

Do I have to be a good skier or racer?
Not really. This is about FUNdraising, camaraderie, and enjoying the day with friends, old and new. On-snow performance is rewarded with prizes, but so is fundraising, so don't let your snowplow keep you from joining in the fun!

Can I still participate even if I don’t ski or can’t attend an event?
Yes. You can join the Virtual Express for MS. Raise $5,000 or more and win an expense-paid trip to the April Awards in Vail, April 10-13, 2008.

No problem. Teams can be made up of skiers, riders and telemarkers.

Where does the money go?
Funds raised through the Vertical Express for MS benefit The Heuga Center’s programs for people and families living with this incurable disease, and help provide scholarships for those unable to pay for these unique programs. The Heuga Center is a national, non-profit organization based in Edwards, CO. Donations are tax-deductible. Learn more...

What does the Heuga Center do?

What is MS?

How do I handle donations? Do I send them to the Center or keep them until event day?
It’s best to record, then send your donations to The Heuga Center. Have checks made out to The Heuga Center, and be sure to include the team name and event on the memo line.
